| Patricia Chute BIOGRAPHY | ||
My love of art has been a lifelong focus. During my school years I developed a very strong interest in art. Thanks to parents who believed in nurturing my special talent, I was encouraged to pursue my passion of art through childhood. Though my deepest interest remained in fine art, I embraced commercial art, which culminated in a successful 20-year career as a creative director. I retired from the frenetic world of advertising in 1999, and now devote my talents once again to fine art. I work in a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic and ceramics, which gives me the freedom to explore hidden perceptions and express them by blending closely observed reality with color, texture, patterns and light. My resume includes individual gallery shows and participation in many group and juried exhibitions, where I have won numerous awards as well as earned signature membership in the Florida Watercolor Society. When I began teaching I opened The Artist Collective Watercolor Studio at the Snell Arcade in Downtown St. Petersburg. Many of my paintings are licensed, reproduced and sold in retail locations and catalogs all over the US . My original work can be seen at Studio Encanto in St. Petersburg , Florida , as well as private collections in the US and abroad.
